In Summer of 2025 PayPal will start selling your personal shopping information with merchants. Read their [official statement here](https://www.paypal.com/us/legalhub/paypal/archive-policies-full#archive-policies-full-102824).

Thankfully, you can opt-out. Do this:

1. Log into your PayPal account
2. Go to Settings (may just show the usual Gear icon for this)
3. Go to the Data & Privacy section
4. Go to Personalized Shopping
5. Turn off the option to “Let us share products, offers, and rewards you might like with participating stores”.
